The Vallican Whole Artist Residency Program

We are very pleased to introduce a new project at the Vallican Whole, created in partnership with the Slocan Valley Community Arts Council.

The Vallican Whole Artist Residency Program is an invitation to Columbia Basin artists to apply for a month-long residency at the Vallican Whole. Artists will have access to time, space, and resources in the Community Centre to work on a new project of their own design. There are two residencies available, a fully open-ended residency of any medium, and a residency focusing on revivifying the Vallican Whole Sculpture Walk.

Artists will be paid for their time, and given an opportunity to host an exhibition, performance and/or talk at the culmination of the residency.

This project is made possible through funding by the Columbia Kootenay Cultural Alliance, and the CBT’s Community Initiatives & Affected Areas funding programs.

Applications for this program open on Monday, January 3rd, and close on Wednesday, February 8th. Final decisions will be made by February 28th, with residencies taking place this Spring/Summer.
