January Story Games!
January 10, 2020 @ 5:30 pm - 10:00 pm
Hosted by local game-creator Avery Alder, Story Games is a night of fun & community.
Come together and create stories through play. Explore strange possibilities as a new character. Laugh together!
Roleplaying games are a form of collaborative, creative play. They use rules and structure to make telling a story together less scary. Every game works a little bit differently – some take us into light-hearted comedy, while others give rise to serious, transformative drama.
This is a monthly event! We’ll offer a variety of game options, and encourage you to bring something to run if you’re a seasoned player.
Our dinner this time will be a childhood classic – sloppy joe’s. We’ll have two versions: beef/pork and lentil/barley. Let me know if you’re gluten-free – I’ll pick up a small number of gluten-free buns.
FOOD AND CHILDCARE
This is a beginner-friendly event for ages 14 and up. It takes place at the Vallican Whole (3762 Little Slocan South Rd). Entry is by donation (suggested $5-10). Dinner is included, with vegan & gluten-free options. Let us know your dietary restrictions! The evening is hosted by Avery (Avery Alder) – feel free to message her if you have any questions.
Childcare provided by Milo (Alea Milo). After dinner, Milo will take the kids downstairs to play, read books, and hang out. Your kids will be in good hands nearby, while you get to focus on creative collaboration!
