Rentals during Covid

Of course, like everyone else, the Whole has been dramatically affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. We value the safety and well-being of the most vulnerable in our community, and are doing our part to slow the spread of Covid-19.

We are bound by the current Public Health Orders, as mandated by BC’s Provincial Health Office, and will comply with whatever orders are in place. These orders are subject to change, and offer detailed guidance to our sector, and to potential renters, about what is and what is not allowed.

When public events are permitted, renters are expected to adhere to whatever public health orders may apply, including masking, physical distancing, and contact tracing. Vallican Whole staff can support and inform renters to properly comply with public health guidance.

If you are hoping to rent the Hall, we can discuss specifics of rentals for various uses – during the pandemic we have been able to open the space for kitchen use and other essential services, and for small-group, private rentals for things like art, music and theatre creation (but not public performance).

If a rental needs to be cancelled or postponed due to Covid, our contracts offer flexibility and understanding, and renters will not be charged for last-minute cancellations. We are accepting tentative bookings with the awareness that, right now, things are hard to plan.

Thank you for your understanding, and please be in touch if you’re interested in using the Vallican Whole!
