Through an embodied experiential process we will use relational constellations to work with disconnections from lineage\, land\, stories\, and the greater web of life\, bringing in awareness and healing. SUMMARY:Valley Gems Auditions for Romeo & Juliet
DESCRIPTION:Valley Gems Community Theatre will be producing Romeo & Juliet in May\, 2020.\nCommunity members are invited to audition for the production on Thursday\, January 23rd at the Vallican Whole. \nTime Commitment: 1-2 rehearsal/week (depending on your part) from February to May 2020. Tech/production week May 3rd – 11th 2020\, with ~ four performances.\nRehearsals on Thursdays\, and possibly Mondays (to be confirmed)\, from 6-8:30PM. \n** Actors aged 14+ unless accompanied by an adult willing to act in the show. ** \nPeople wishing to audition for the roles of Juliet\, Nurse\, Tybalt and Mercutio\, please bring a memorized 10-16 line monologue from a Shakespeare play.  \nTo learn more\, or to volunteer for stage crew\, please contact martina.avis@gmail.com\, or come out on January 23rd.

DESCRIPTION:Hosted by local game-creator Avery Alder\, Story Games is a night of fun & community. \nCome together and create stories through play. Explore strange possibilities as a new character. Laugh together! \nRoleplaying games are a form of collaborative\, creative play. They use rules and structure to make telling a story together less scary. Every game works a little bit differently – some take us into light-hearted comedy\, while others give rise to serious\, transformative drama. \nThis is a monthly event! We’ll offer a variety of game options\, and encourage you to bring something to run if you’re a seasoned player. \nOur dinner this time will be a childhood classic – sloppy joe’s. We’ll have two versions: beef/pork and lentil/barley. Let me know if you’re gluten-free – I’ll pick up a small number of gluten-free buns. \nFOOD AND CHILDCARE \nThis is a beginner-friendly event for ages 14 and up. It takes place at the Vallican Whole (3762 Little Slocan South Rd). Entry is by donation (suggested $5-10). Dinner is included\, with vegan & gluten-free options. Let us know your dietary restrictions! The evening is hosted by Avery (Avery Alder) – feel free to message her if you have any questions. \nChildcare provided by Milo (Alea Milo). After dinner\, Milo will take the kids downstairs to play\, read books\, and hang out.
