DESCRIPTION:Screening of the film Invasion\, about the Unist’ot’en Camp that is defending unceded Wet’suwet’en territory.  Followed by a community conversation\, dinner\, and a dance party.  Event is a fundraiser for Unist’ot’en camp. \nPlease try to arrive around 3pm.  There will be a welcoming at 3:30.\n4pm film screening of Invasion\n4:30 community talk\nSome snacks will be available for sale at the door.\nAfter the community talk dinner will be available at $12 a plate\, with food by Seema.\nDJ’ing by Rhoniel and Teka Rae from 6-9 or so.\nKid friendly and kid zone available!

DESCRIPTION:Come together and create stories through play. Explore strange possibilities as a new character. Laugh together! \nRoleplaying games are a form of collaborative\, creative play. They use rules and structure to make telling a story together less scary. Every game works a little bit differently – some take us into light-hearted comedy\, while others give rise to serious\, transformative drama. \nThis is a monthly event! We’ll offer a variety of game options\, and encourage you to bring something to run if you’re a seasoned player. \nDinner menu still to be decided. Any requests? \nFOOD AND CHILDCARE \nThis is a beginner-friendly event for ages 14 and up. It takes place at the Vallican Whole (3762 Little Slocan South Rd). Entry is by donation (suggested $5-10). Dinner is included\, with vegan & gluten-free options. Let us know your dietary restrictions! The evening is hosted by Avery (Avery Alder) – feel free to message her if you have any questions. \nChildcare provided by Milo (Alea Milo). After dinner\, Milo will take the kids downstairs to play\, read books\, and hang out. (You need to arrive before six in order to play something!) \n9:00 to 9:30 – There is time to debrief\, tidy up\, and say goodbye to one another.
